The PolyFlex™ backboard has a uniform colour throughout the thickness of the material, eliminating the fading, paint-peeling and cracking associated with aluminum backboards. Fortran provides a five-year warranty against fading and cracking.
The plumbized versions of the PolyFlex™ backboards have two breakaway tabs. Break one tab to custom fit your signal head. The other tab blocks unwanted light from passing through.
The Polyflex™ backboard is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions. It has been tested at temperatures ranging from -46ºC to +43ºC.
The PolyFlex™ backboard fits several major manufacturers’ polycarbonate traffic signals and is now accepted in most major cities and regions across Canada. It is also available as a retrofit for existing aluminum signal heads.
The PolyFlex™ can be easily washed to remove all types of dirt. Just spray them down.
