FLUX CVSP is a reliable Connected Vehicle Signal Priority (CVSP) system that provides second-by-second real-time traffic signal control and is designed to reduce vehicular GHG emissions and increase passenger satisfaction by reducing transit vehicle travel times and improving schedule reliability. FLUX CVSP is a patented, breakthrough technology that earned a Smart 50 Award for “Most Transformative Smart City Mobility Project” in 2020.
schedule a presentationThe FLUX CVSP solution is built on the FLUX Mobility Management Platform, a Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) platform that provides second-by-second real-time information from connected vehicles via 5G/LTE or C-V2X communication.
At the heart of the platform is a reliable, centralized traffic signal control system. The system provides the FLUX CVSP computational engine with real-time vehicle information and trip data.
This information is used to reduce vehicle dwell times at the intersection by optimizing the signal timing in real-time and by providing priority to the connected vehicle. In addition, FLUX CVSP provides traffic signal timing and infrastructure related information to the vehicle and the driver.
Vehicle information is provided by way of an automated vehicle location (AVL) system, an embedded device or a cellular connected mobile device located within the vehicle.
In tests, FLUX CVSP reduced overall passenger travel times for transit vehicles resulting in significant time savings for customers.
Infra-structureless, cloud-based solution reduces capital and ongoing maintenance costs by eliminating unnecessary equipment in the vehicle and at the intersection.
In tests, the FLUX CVSP solution achieved a significant improvement in travel time through a signalized intersection resulting in a reduction of GHG emissions.
Supports both legacy systems as well as emerging Connected and Automated Vehicle technologies for testing and seamless citywide deployment over time.
