Customized Software
Continuously striving to be a leader in traffic
software development, Fortran engineered the Time Space Diagram (TSD) software as a tool
to assist traffic engineers with arterial progression, ultimately reducing traffic
congestion and delay. In the early 1980's, TSD was introduced in a DOS-based format and
later upgraded to WindowsTM. In 1995,
Fortran introduced TSDWIN Version 2.0, which proved to be as easy to use as it was
effective. During this release, work also began on developing a real-time version of TSD
to operate in conjunction with Fortran's T2000C system.
Now, with the release of TSDWIN Version 3.0,
this user friendly, fast and flexible program now further enhances the traffic analyst's
capabilities. LEVEL of SERVICE and OPTIMIZATION features offer a new plateau for
determining timing plans and evaluating results. TSDWIN's unique yellow/red flow display
allows for visual fine tuning of adjecent intersections.
