The T2000C real-time, second-by-second Traffic Signal Control
System is a reliable, comprehensive, integrated centralized system. This time-proven
design is based on over two decades of software development and enhancement enabling it to
continually meet new traffic challenges as they evolve.
T2000C is a multi-user, multi-tasking system with extensive
traffic control capabilities. The powerful traffic responsive algorithms and optional
SCOOT adaptive control module ensure that T2000C is ready to handle your traffic demand
problems. T2000C is a database oriented system with on-line changes to the database while
the traffic system is operating. A variety of optional modules and our dedicated software
development team enables Fortran to customize a T2000C system to your specific
requirements.
T2000C uses reliable Intel/Alpha based servers, personal
computers, and commercial off-the-shelf software and components to improve scalability and
to enable the system to adapt to changes in technology and the industry. Comprehensive
hardware and software maintenance and support ensures that customers are able to
capitalize upon these advancements.
Complementary central communications equipment and software
interface with a variety of communications media and topologies. Fortran's Remote Control
and Communications Unit (RCCU) and cabinet interface kits have been used to interface with
over 20 different types of controllers ranging from electromechanical to 170 to TS 2 Type
1. In instances when T2000C is not controlling operation (e.g. communication network
problems), the Fortran RCCU capability of uploading and downloading of Time Base
Coordination data and logs ensures on-street coordination is maintained.
