The new PolyFlex™ backboard is strong and durable, made from a very tough, impact resistant, UV stabilized, poly material that is flexible and not brittle. Say 'so long' to bent corners!

The PolyFlex™ backboard has a uniform colour throughout the thickness of the material, eliminating the fading, paint-peeling and cracking associated with aluminum backboards. Fortran provides a five year warranty against fading and cracking.

The plumbized versions of the PolyFlex™ backboard have two breakaway tabs. Break one tab to custom fit your signal head. The other tab blocks unwanted light from passing through.

The Polyflex™ backboard is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions. It  has been tested at temperatures ranging from +43°C to -46°C.

The PolyFlex™ backboard fits several major manufacturers' polycarbonate traffic signals, and is now accepted in major cities and regions across Canada. It is also available as a retrofit for existing aluminum signal heads.

Fortran stocks all configurations of the PolyFlex™ backboard, as well as a complete line of aluminum backboards. Stainless steel mounting hardware is supplied.
