This type of mounting
suspends the signal head from an overhead wire. It is typically used for flashing beacons
in the middle of intersections, or for temporary traffic signal installations.
The hanger can be configured to support one, two, three, or four
separate signals or beacons. All configurations include a part that clamps onto the
supporting span wire (maximum ¾" diameter), plus a wire entrance for the electrical
wiring. For any multiple signal hanger, there will also be a hub with a removable bottom
plate for wiring access, and there will be a cross arm plate which connects and braces the
bottom of the beacons.
All components are aluminum, with stainless steel set screws on the
hub.
