| The Naztec Model
724 Four-Channel Inductive Loop Detector uses state of the art technology to provide a
robust and reliable rack mounted vehicle detection device. Automatic self-tuning and
fifteen selectable sensitivity levels ensure trouble-free operation. Crosstalk between
adjacent loops is minimized by selecting one of four different oscillator frequencies for
each loop. Crosstalk between adjacent channels is eliminated by sequential scanning. As
each loop is scanned, the other 3 channels are turned off. The Model 724 is capable of two
operating modes. In Pulse Mode, the detector provides a 150 millisecond pulse in response
to a detection, useful for counting and volume calculations. In Presence Mode, the output
from the detector is active as long as a vehicle is present on the loop. The use of
separate LEDs for detection and fault information eases setup and diagnostics. The DETECT
LED indicates when a vehicle is on the loop or if Delay or Extension is active A 2 Hz
flash rate indicates Delay, while an 8 Hz flash indicates Extend. The FAULT LED uses 8 Hz,
2 Hz, 1/2 Hz, and continuous-on modes to indicate loop shorted, opened, inductance change
of more than 25%, and watchdog reset, respectively. |
